O turkey dear
O turkey dear
How lovely are thy feathers

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
There could be nothing better!

We celebrate Thanksgiving Day
By putting your carcass on display.

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
You thought we were friends who came to greet you.

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
We gathered here to eat you!

O turkey day
O turkey day
The family is all together

O turkey day
O turkey day
We've over come bad weather

Seeing the family is so fab
We'll see ya'll again in rehab.

O turkey day
O turkey day
We'll drink away your memory.

A Turkey sat on the backyard fence
and he sang a sad sad tune.
Thanksgiving Day is coming
Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble
and I know I'll be eaten soooon,
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble
I don't like Thanksgiving Day ay ay.

Come Ye Thankful People Come

Come ye thankful people come,
Raise the song of harvest home!
All is safely gathered in,
Ere the winter storms begin;
God our Maker, doth provide
For our wants to be supplied:
Come to God's own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home.

All the world is God's own field
Fruit unto his praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown
Unto joy or sorrow grown;
First the blade, and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear;
Lord of the harvest! grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.

For the Lord our God shall come,
And shall take his harvest home;
From his field shall in that day
All offenses purge away,
Give his angels charge at last
In the fire the tares to cast;
But the fruitful ears to store
In his garner evermore.
Even so, Lord, quickly come,
Bring thy final harvest home;
Gather thou thy people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin,
There, forever purified,
in thy presence to abide;
Come, with all thine angels, come,
Raise the glorious harvest home.

Grandma Stuffed the Turkey

One day in late November,
When the weather's cold and crisp,
Our Thanksgiving Dinner at Grandma's,
We won't miss.
We're counting all our blessings,
With that thankful attitude.
Who do you think we're kidding?
We're really here for food!

Grandma stuffed the turkey
Then the turkey sure stuffed us.
Brussel sprouts, turnips,
And her fresh cut asparagus,
Her pumpkin and apple pies
Make with her famous crust;
Yea, Grandma stuffed the turkey,
Then the turkey sure stuffed us.

Now Grandma got her apron on,
It's the only one she owns.
Grandpa carves the turkey,
Till there's no meat on the bones.
Kids fighting for those drumsticks,
And the wishbone to make a wish
With all that commotion,
We keep fillin' up our dish.

Repeat chorus
Now the men are off the table,
Because the football game is on.
The women are in the kitchen,
Yea, talking up a storm.
The kids are running wild,
Wrestling on the floor.
The game is finally over.
Yea, we can eat some more!

Repeat chorus

Now things are always changing,
But those turkeys stay the same.
Our family keeps a growing,

And Grandma's glad we came.
Adding chairs around the table,
Sometime two or three;
Now with so many people,
There's no leftovers left for me!

Repeat chorus

Five Little Turkeys

5 little turkeys standing by door,
One waddled off, and then there were 4.
4 little turkeys under a treee,
One waddled off , and then there were 3.
3 little turkeys with nothing to do,
One waddled off, and then there were 2.
2 little turkeys in the noon day sun,
One waddled off, and then there was 1.
One little turkey better run away,
For soon will come Thanksgiving day

The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest is all gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain.
So open wide the doorway-
Thanksgiving comes again!
